ANNVILLE, PA – The Cabrini swim teams paid a visit to Lebanon Valley College on Friday night. The Cavaliers' women emerged with a 107.5-97.5 win, while the men fell 108-84.
The Blue and White women were led by a trio of double winners, as senior
Christina Melchiorre, sophomore
Marissa Loro and freshman
Lauren Finnegan claimed multiple events.
Likewise on the men's side, seniors
Hassan Goines and
Todd Walker once again posted multiple victories.
Melchiorre won the 200 meter individual medley with a time of 2:39.32, before posting a winning time of 1:14.57 in the 100 meter backstroke.
Loro won the night's first individual event, the 800 meter freestyle, reaching the wall in 10:41.06. The sophomore also claimed victory in the 400 meter freestyle with a time of 5:10.60.
Finnegan continued her impressive rookie season, posting victories in the 200 meter freestyle and 100 meter freestyle in 2:20.59 and 1:04.10, respectively.
Goines recorded times of 2:23.08 in the 200 meter individual medley and 1:11.79 in the 100 meter breast stroke to claim victory in both events.
Walker added a win in the 800 meter freestyle with a time of 9:14.69 before posting a winning time of 1:02.25 in the 100 meter backstroke.
The Cavaliers have a few days to relax before returning to competition on Nov. 12, when they visit Albright College. The action is scheduled to get underway at 1pm.
