SCRANTON, PA – The Cabrini men's basketball team withstood a late comeback to score a 73-61 victory at Marywood University.
With the Cavaliers' second consecutive win, the team improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Junior
Tyheim Monroe led five Cavaliers in double figures with his 33rd consecutive double-double, pairing 25 points and 17 rebounds. Sophomore
Ivan Robinson connected on 4-6 from three point range en route to 15 points, while senior
Ryan Charity added 12 points off the bench.

Deryl Bagwell chipped in with 11 points, while junior
Kane McGovern scored 10 points in his first 12 minutes of action this season.
Marywood opened the game with six quick points before the Blue and White gained the lead with an 11-2 run. Minutes later, Cabrini went on another 10-2 run, as McGovern's free throws pushed the lead to 29-18 with less than four minutes left in the first half.
A late Pacers bucket closed the first half with Cabrini leading 35-25.
The Blue and White lead swelled to 54-39 when Bagwell hit Robinson for a three pointer with nine minutes to play.
Trailing 63-51 at the 4:28 mark, Marywood began its comeback. The Pacers used an 8-0 run over nearly two minutes to slice Cabrini's lead back to 63-59.
The Cavaliers squashed the comeback at the free throw line, as they connected on 10-14 from the charity stripe over the final 2:13.
Jeremy Ringland led Marywood (0-7, 0-3 CSAC) with 23 points, six blocked shots and foru assists, while Tip Schwartz added 10 points.
The Blue and White will return to Nerney Field House on Wednesday, as it hosts Immaculata University (3-3, 2-0 CSAC). Tipoff is slated for 8pm.
