ASTON, Pa. – After surrendering 57 first half points, the Cavaliers turned up the defense and cruised to a 106-85 victory at Neumann University. With the win, Cabrini improved to 15-9 overall and 13-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
With just one game remaining in the regular season, the Cavaliers are tied with Neumann for the number two seed in next week's CSAC Tournament. Both sit one game behind top seed Gwynedd Mercy, Cabrini's opponent in Saturday's regular season finale.
Six Cavaliers scored at least nine points on the night, led by sophomore
Tyheim Monroe's NCAA leading 24th double-double in 24 games. The sophomore shot 11-16 from the floor, pairing 23 points and 15 rebounds.

Jair Green added 19 points, while senior
Ace Henry scored 18 points and grabbed a career best six rebounds. Sophomore
Deryl Bagwell chipped in with 16 points, five rebounds and six assists in 24 minutes off the bench. Freshman
Ivan Robinson posted 13 points despite foul trouble.
Both clubs went back and forth in a first half that saw 14 lead changes and eight ties, while each team shot north of 49% from the floor.
Cabrini led for much of the game's opening 10 minutes, but could never extend its lead to more than four points. Neumann controlled the scoreboard for much of the final 10 minutes of the stanza, building a 37-32
lead with 6:46 to play in the half.
The final 5:04 of the period featured five ties and three lead changes before Neumann's Kevin Green gave the Knights a 57-55 lead on the final possession of the half.
While the Cavaliers connected on nearly 49% of its first half field goal attempts, including 6-15 from three point range, Neumann countered with a blistering 25-39 shooting, with 30 0f its 57 first half points coming in
the paint.
Five minutes into the second half with the score tied at 66, the Cavaliers took control of the action. A Monroe offensive rebound sparked six consecutive Green points and a 12-1 spurt, which proved to be decisive. During the 3:30 stretch, Cabrini held Neumann to 0-6, while the Blue and White went 5-6 from the floor.
Neumann pulled within 89-78 with 6:19 to play, when the Cavaliers put the game away. Cabrini connected on four of his next five buckets, as Henry's three pointer sparked a 17-4 run. The Blue and White held the Knights to just 1-8 over the next six minutes to stymie the comeback.
The Cavaliers dominated the second half on the defensive end, holding Neumann to just 28 points on .343 shooting from the floor, including 1-12 from the three point line. The Blue and White also outrebounded Neumann 30-17 after the halftime break.
Six Knights scored in double figures, led by Green who hit 8-12 from the floor for 19 points off the bench, while Darian Barnes paired 17 points and 11 rebounds. James Butler added 13 points and five boards before fouling out.
The Cavaliers will close their regular season on Saturday, as they celebrate Senior Day with a visit from Gwynedd Mercy University (18-6, 16-1 CSAC). Game time is slated for 1 p.m. at Nerney Field House.
