BALTIMORE, Md. – The Cabrini women's basketball team closed the regular season on a high note, as it topped Notre Dame of Maryland University 81-31 for its third consecutive victory and eighth in its last nine games.
The victory improved the Cavaliers to 16-9 overall and closed their Colonial States Athletic Conference slate with a 13-3 mark. The win also seals the number three seed in next week's CSAC Tournament and secures a home game in Monday's opening round.
The Blue and White will open the tournament at 6 p.m., as it welcomes Rosemont College to Nerney Field House. The Cavaliers swept the Ravens in their two meetings this season, 67-49 and 86-52, and have won seven straight and 17 of 18 meetings in the series.
All 13 Cavaliers saw action in today's win, with no playing seeing more than 21 minutes on the floor. Senior

Nomi Washington led 12 Blue and White scorers with 15 points each.
Martin shot 6-11 from the field and recorded four steals, while Washington connected on 7-9 from the floor in just 12 minutes of action in her career high scoring performance. Senior

Kristina Startare and freshman Gabby Jones tallied seven points each.
The Cavaliers also dominated the glass, outrebounding the Gators 43-21. Seven Cavaliers corralled at least five boards in the win, led by six each by junior
Renee Oliver and sophomore
Sabrina Hackendorn.
Notre Dame scored five of the game's first six points before the Blue and White took over. O'Connell's jumper capped a 17-0 run, as Cabrini turned a 5-1 deficit into an 18-5 lead with 3:54 left in the first quarter. The lead swelled to 14 points on Startare's lay-up late in the frame, a lead the Cavaliers carried into the second quarter.
The Cavaliers essentially put the game away in the second quarter, as it held Notre Dame to just six points. Cabrini opened the frame with a 15-0 run, as it kept the Gators scoreless until the 3:33 mark of the period. A three pointer by freshman

Cabrini continued its solid play into the third quarter, as it held Notre Dame to just five points, all coming in the final 2:20 of the quarter.
The Blue and White forced the Gators into 26 turnovers in the win, marking the 12th consecutive game that Cabrini has forces at least 17 turnovers and seventh time in its last nine games that it has forces more than 24. Nineteen of those turnovers came via Cabrini steals, the third straight outing with at least 18 steals.
Ashley Guy and Zaria Comer led Notre Dame (8-17, 4-12 CSAC) with eight points each.
