Women's Lacrosse Tops Keystone to Stay Unbeaten in CSAC

RADNOR, Pa. – Eleven Cavaliers marked the scoring column today, as the Cabrini women's lacrosse team stayed perfect in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with a 17-4 win over the visiting Keystone College Giants.

With the victory, the Blue and White improved to 7-3 overall and 6-0 in the conference, while extending its league win streak to 36 games.

The Cavaliers took control of the game from the opening whistle, as junior Allie Vallen put the Blue and White on the board less than 20 seconds into the action.  By the two minute mark, sophomore Jackie Neary and junior Jenn Robinson had added to the lead.

The cushion swelled to 10-0 with 20:07 left in the opening half, before Cabrini carried a 13-0 lead into the halftime break.

Robinson and sophomore Sasha Wozniak paced the Blue and White offense with five points each.  Robinson netted a career high four goals, while Wozniak paired three goals and two assists.

Neary finished the day with two goals, while junior Jess Breuning recorded a goal and two helpers to go with seven draw controls and a caused turnover.  Vallen and classmate Katie Lasater added a goal and an assist each.

Freshman Kerri Anderson and sophomore Megan McLoughlin scored their first career goals, joining sophomores Gabby Lee and Emily Crouse and senior Caitlyn Poole with one goal each.

Freshman Katie Kucia led the Cavaliers with four ground balls, one more than fellow rookie Emma Rodner-Tims, while senior Mo O'Connell caused two turnovers.

Junior Megan Barlow earned the victory in the Cabrini cage, sharing time in net with freshman Devon Scharf, who posted a career best six saves.

Sophomore Emily Hawkins led Keystone (2-5, 1-4 CSAC) with a goal, an assist, seven draw controls and three ground balls.  Senior goaltender Katelyn Coon recorded six saves after relieving starting netminder and classmate Amber Crews.

The Cavaliers have little time to enjoy today's victory, as they hit the road tomorrow to face Rowan University (5-3).  Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Glassboro, N.J.
