WASHINGTON, DC – The Cavaliers struggled to find their rhythm today, falling to 0-3 on the year with an 8-0 loss at Catholic University in Washington.
Cabrini saw the Cardinals build a 50-7 advantage in shots and force 10 corner kicks to just two for the Cavaliers.
Junior goaltender
Gabby LeGendre posted a career high 11 saves in the loss, before being replaced by sophomore
Meghan Horn, who added eight saves.
The Cardinals opened the scoring in the 20th minute, scoring three goals in a three minute span to build a 3-0 halftime lead.
The Blue and White could not change its fortunes after the break, as Catholic extended its lead just four minutes into the second stanza.
Senior
Allie Vallen recorded two of Cabrini's seven shots on the day and two of its four shots on target.
The Cavaliers will look for their first win of the season on Wednesday, as they welcome Arcadia to Edit Robb Dixon Field for a 4pm showdown.
