RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini women's soccer team fell to 0-4 on the season today, as the Cavaliers suffered a 4-2 loss to the visiting Arcadia University Knights at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
The Blue and White recorded just five shots on the night, but sophomore
Meghan Horn made two of them count, scoring the first two goals of her career.
The Knights built a 2-0 lead with goals in the 28th and 30th minutes. Horn put the Blue and White on the board just four minutes later, as a cross from freshman
Alex Garces found Horn alone in front of the goal.
The one goal deficit was short lived, as Arcadia doubled its lead in the 37th minute and carried its 3-1 lead into the second half.
Horn added her second goal of the match in the 69th frame, as junior
Marisa Christensen's free kick found her head.
Juniors
Taylor Tralie and
Kelsee Tironi and
Diana VanSickle added shots for Cabrini. Junior goaltender
Gabby LeGendre notched eight saves in the loss.
Tara Smith led Arcadia (7-0) with two goals.
Cabrini will return to the pitch on Saturday, as they will face Alvernia University (2-3). Game time is slated for 1:30pm in Reading, PA.
