RADNOR, PA – The Cavaliers recorded a season high 28 shots tonight, but could only find the back of the net once, as the Cabrini men's soccer team played Albright College to a 1-1 tie.
With the deadlock, the Blue and White move to 3-3-1 on the year, while the Lions improve to 2-4-2.
Cabrini dominated the stat sheet, outshooting the Lions 28-5, including 12-3 in shots on goal. The Cavaliers recorded 16 of its shots in the opening 45 minutes of action.
Freshman
Ibrahim Kallie made the most of his first career shot. The freshman came in as a reserve in the 40th minute, as Cabrini set up for a corner kick. Kallie found himself on the business end of junior
Ben Roda's service, as his head ball found the back of the net.
Despite not attempting many shots, Albright took advantage of its opportunity early in the second half. Anthony Parlato found Nathan Hughes to even the score.
Cabrini held Albright to just one more shot over the final 57 minutes of play, but the Blue and White could not find its scoring touch.
Senior
Bobby Kane recorded a season high seven shots, two more than Kallie. Freshmen
Andre Justin and Chris Araujo joined senior
John Underwood with three shots each.
Senior goaltender
C.J. Serratore notched two saves for the Cavaliers.
Billy Mullen added 10 stops for the Lions.
The Blue and White have a few days to recover before returning to action on Saturday. The Cavaliers will host Eastern University (5-1-1) in the final event of Cabrini's Homecoming celebration. Kickoff is slated for 6pm at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
