RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini swim teams hosted their second meet in as many days today, as the Cavaliers welcomed Widener and Wilkes Universities to the Dixon Center Pool.
The Blue and White women topped Wilkes 112-74 and fell to Widener 160-43, while the men suffered a pair of defeats, 99-69 to Wilkes and 167-28 to Widener.
Freshman
Lauren Finnegan stood out for the Cavaliers, scoring a pair of top three individual finishes. The rookie finished second in the 500 yard freestyle, reaching the wall in 5:39.40. She also finished third in the 200 yard freestyle in 2:04.69, just behind senior
Christina Melchiorre, whose time of 2:03.00 was good for second.
Sophomore
Betsy Czarkowski added a third place finish in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:34.90.

Candace Brown also anchored a pair of relays for the Blue and White. The threesome opened the meet with freshman
Ashley Moore to place third in the 400 yard medley.
The group was joined by freshman
Katherine Buckman in the day's final event, scoring a second place finish in the 400 yard freestyle medley.
On the men's side, sophomore
Ryan Brong posted a time of 2:10.57 in the 200 yard butterfly, good for a second place finish.
Senior
Hassan Goines earned a third place finish in the 200 yard individual medley, reaching the wall in 2:08.21.
The Cavaliers will return to the pool next Saturday, when they welcome Swarthmore College to the Dixon Center Pool. The action is slated to begin at 11am.
