RADNOR, PA – Junior
Jared Irwin's 81st minute goal pushed the Cabrini men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Neumann University and the team's fifth consecutive victory.
The win improved the Blue and White to 5-7-1 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, taking a five point lead in the conference standings.
The Cavaliers took an early lead in the 19th minute, as junior
Sal Zampirri Jr. recorded his first career goal. The lead was short-lived, as Billy Swontek put the Knights on the board just two minutes later.
The teams combined for 10 shots and three corner kicks in the first half, sending the two CSAC unbeaten into the half tied at 1-1.
Both teams created second half scoring chances, as they combined for nine second half shots, but it was Irwin who made the mos of his only shot of the second half.
The junior beat Neumann goaltender Perry Corsetti from 12 yards out for the game-winner in the 81st minute.

Matt Ochman recorded two shots each for the Blue and White, while sophomore goaltender
Mike Gould notched two saves in the victory.
Swontek led Neumann (5-5-1, 3-1-1 CSAC) with five of the team's 10 shots, while Corcetti finished with two saves.
Cabrini will put its win streak on the line on Saturday, as it pays a visit to Clarks Summit University (6-8-1, 1-3-1 CSAC). Kickoff is slated for 3pm in Clarks Summit, PA.
