ASTON, PA – Head coach
Jackie Neary added another milestone to her illustrious career with today's 1-0 victory at Neumann.
With the victory, Neary notched her 500th career win on the Cabrini sidelines, as head coach for both the field hockey and women's lacrosse teams.
Neary, whose name has become synonymous with Cabrini Athletics, has spent 22 years on the Cavaliers' bench, claiming a combined 20 conference championships and 17 CSAC Coach of the Year honors.
Neary has won 228 games since taking over as field hockey coach in 1996 and led the women's lacrosse team to 272 win as the only coach in program history.
The Cavaliers (5-7, 3-1 CSAC) dominated the action in today's opening 35 minutes, outshooting the Knights 8-1, while earning 11 first half penalty corners to none for Neumann.
Despite the offensive advantage, the Blue and White mustered just one goal, as senior
Sara Johnsen netted her third goal of the season in the 33rd minute.
Neumann found some offense in the second half, but the Cabrini defense was up to the task. Senior goaltender
Taylor Bookman to record each of her three saves in the second half to secure her third shutout of the season.
Meanwhile, the Blue and White continued to push for a second goal, outshooting the Knights 7-4 after the break.

Jackie Neary combined for 10 of Cabrini's 15 shots, while sophomore
MaryKate Kane added two.
Laura Stewart led Neumann (2-10, 1-3 CSAC) with two shot, while goaltender Lizzie Yu posted nine saves.
Cabrini will return to action on Wednesday, as it welcomes Immaculata (5-9, 3-0 CSAC) to Edith Robb Dixon Field. The opening whistle is slated for 7pm.
