MOOSIC,PA – The Cabrini men's golf team completed the two-day Gino Biondi Memorial Tournament in sixth place in the eight team field.
The Cavaliers posted a 36-hole team score of 662 on the par 71, 6,339 yard course at Glenmaura National Golf Club.
Junior
David Gall paired rounds of 75 and 78 to finish in a tie for fifth place out of 43 finishers.
Freshman
John Mallozzi carded an 85 after Saturday's 78 to finish tied for 18th with a two day score of 163.
Senior
David Anders' two-day score of 171 was good for 26th place, while junior
Nick Alizzi tied for 33rd place after shooting rounds of 89 and 87. Senior
Nick Straub finished the weekend in 38th place with a 36-hole score of 183.
After entering Sunday's round in fifth place, York College carded a team score of 305, 14 strokes better than Saturday's round, to take the team title by two strokes over Rosemont. Host Marywood completed the top three with a team score of 634.
Swarthmore's Dan Altieri paired rounds of 71 and 76 to earn a two stroke victory over York's Tyler Newton on the individual leader board. Marywood's Michael Thomas and Erik Diamond from Rosemont placed third and fourth, respectively.
The Cavaliers have little time to rest, as they will return to action on Monday at the Franklin & Marshall Fall Invitational. Tee time is scheduled for 12pm at Bent Creek Country Club in Lititz, PA.
