RADNOR, PA – The Cavaliers made a 52nd minute penalty kick hold up tonight at Edith Robb Dixon Field, as the Cabrini men's soccer team scored a 1-0 victory over Immaculata University.
The win extended the Blue and White's current win streak to seven games and improved the team to 7-7-1 and 7-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Despite outshooting the Mighty Macs 8-2 in the first half, the Cavaliers could not break through the Immaculata defense. Cabrini forced several throw-ins deep in Immaculata territory, but could not find a scoring connection.
The Blue and White's pressure paid off in the 52nd minute, as Cabrini played a long ball into the Immaculata penalty area. While trying to play the ball, Immaculata's goaltender Mikey Kalpokas knocked down a Cabrini player forcing a penalty kick.

Jared Irwin calmly put the ball into the back of the net for his team leading fifth goal of the season.
The Cabrini defense effort made the lone goal stand, as the Mighty Macs recorded just three second half shots and three corner kicks after the break.

Ben Roda added two each.
Sophomore goaltender
Mike Gould tallied a pair of saves to earn his fourth shutout of the season.
Five Mighty Macs accounted for the team's five shots, while Kalpokas notched eight saves in the loss.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Saturday, as they celebrate the careers of its senior class on Senior Day. The Blue and White will host Marywood University at 12pm.
