ROSEMONT, PA – The Cavaliers pushed their win streak to four with today's 16-2 victory at Rosemont College. With the win, the Blue and White improved to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Cabrini scored just 15 seconds after the opening whistle and never looked back, building a 13-1 cushion at the half.
The Blue and White to solid contributions from the entire roster, as 10 players marked the scoring column in the victory.
Sophomores
Liz Hoeffner and
Avery Murphy led the way with three goal each, with Hoeffner adding an assist. Senior
Allie Vallen and junior
Emily Crouse tallied three points each, combining for three goals and three helpers.
Freshman
Mattie Porter scored twice for Cabrini and led a trio of Cavaliers with their first career goals. Fellow rookies
Shannon Fichter and
MaryKate Kane also marked the scoring column.
Senior
Jess Breuning and sophomore
Katie Kucia also recorded goals, while junior
Jackie Neary served up an assist.
Cabrini recorded 28 ground balls in the win, with Porter securing seven, two more than Crouse.
Fichter and Porter caused two turnovers each, while Hoeffner controlled a game high six draws.
The Blue and White held the Ravens to just three shots on the day and held Rosemont to just five completed clears in 18 chances.

Megan Barlow earned the victory. Freshman
Noelia Ramirez also saw her first collegiate action between the pipes.
Jen South scored for the Ravens (0-5, 0-2 CSAC) and scooped four ground balls, controlled three draws and caused a turnover. Kiana Davis recorded 11 saves in the loss.
The Blue and White will return to Edith Robb Dixon Field on Saturday, as it hosts Cedar Crest College (0-2, 0-0 CSAC). Game time is scheduled for 11am.
