PHILADELPHIA, PA - Cabrini softball's four game win streak came to a close today, as the Blue and White fell 5-4 and 7-1 to Philadelphia University. The club drops to 11-15 on the year as a result of today's losses.
The Cavaliers took an early lea in the opener, as junior

Jess Giordano's infield single in the opening frame to give Cabrini the 1-0 lead.
The Cavaliers entered the scoring column again in the second inning, as freshman
Alexandra Schell's RBI ground out to second base plated senior
Amber Dietrich.
The Blue and White extended its lead to 4-0 in the fourth, as the club recorded a pair of runs on four hits. A bases loaded wild pitch advanced the runners, while senior
Taylor Mack, who reached on a single, scored on the errant throw. Sophomore
Marissa Alpaugh's RBI double to left field scored Ferraro before the inning came to a close.
The Rams cut into the Cavaliers' four run lead in the bottom half with a pair of runs, and added three more scores in the seventh to steal the win.
The Cavaliers combined for 10 hits, with Ferraro leading the club with three. The senior also scored two times. Schell, Alpaugh and Giordano recorded an RBI in the loss.
Giordano saw five innings of action in the circle, before departing with a two run lead. The junior surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. Senior
Taylor Gallagher tossed 1.2 innings and allowed three earned runs.
Philadelphia University's comeback victory in game one carried over to the nightcap, as the Rams posted seven runs on 13 hits.
A three run homer in the second inning put the Rams in front early.

The Rams scored three runs in the bottom half and added another run in the fourth to complete the sweep.
Schell, Ferraro and Savar led Cabrini with two hits apiece, while the club combined for nine. Juniors
Jenna Rodriguez and
Emily Smull split action on the pitcher's stripe and combined for three strikeouts and five earned runs.
The Blue and White will have little time to rest, as it welcomes Gwynedd Mercy (10-12, 6-4 CSAC) to Cabrini Field on Thursday. First pitch of the doubleheader is at 3pm.
