The Griffins scored two runs in the first inning to open play but the Cavaliers answered with five runs in the bottom half to take a three run lead.

A pair of RBI singles by sophomore Marissa Alpaugh and junior Jess Giordano evened the score. With two runners on, senior Lindsay Savar sent one over the right field wall. The home run was the senior's first of two homers on the day.

Alpaugh extended the Cavaliers' lead to 6-2 in the fourth, as the sophomore's solo home run found the stands.

Savar opened the inning with her 10th home run on the season. A single and an error put runners on first and second. Senior Taylor Mack stepped in and roped the ball down the left field line, while classmate, Amber Dietrich, scored on the double.

Freshman Alexandra Schell was hit by a pitch the following at bat, which loaded the bases for the Cavaliers. Junior Chrissy Ferraro's single plated junior Alexandria Ramos. A wild pitch the next at bat advanced the runners, while Mack made her way home. Schell scored on a wild pitch the following at bat to give Cabrini the win.

Savar led the Cavaliers with four RBI and a pair of hits, while Giordano and Alpaugh each batted in a pair of runs. Giordano also improved to 6-5 in the circle, after tossing five innings, allowing four earned runs and striking out seven Griffins.

Schell opened the bottom half with a double to right field and later scored on a fielding error at second base. The Blue and White scored once more in the fourth inning, as Schell's sacrifice fly platted Dietrich.

Gwynedd Mercy added an insurance run in the sixth to extend its lead to 5-2. The Griffins shut the Blue and White offense out the rest of the way to escape with the win.
