RADNOR, PA - The Cavaliers dropped their fourth consecutive game this afternoon and were swept by the Neumann Knights in the process. The 18-1 defeat is the worst loss in the Cavaliers young history and moves their record to 9-13 (3-9 CSAC) on the season.
The Knights got to Cavs' starter
Jake Dohar early as the young lefty lasted just a third of an inning and was saddled with four earned runs off of four hits.
The Blue and White picked up their only run in the bottom of the first as
Tyler Norris reached base after being hit by a pitch. Following his 12th stolen base of the season,
Colin Birzes drove home Norris with single to center to make it 6-1 in favor of the Knights.
After picking up two runs in the top of the third, Neumann's Curt Yenchik delivered the big blow off of
Andrew Del Giudice with a grand slam to straight away center to extend the Knights lead to 12-1.
The Knights added another run in the fifth, three in the seventh and their last run in the eighth to cap the scoring at 18-1.
Reliever Anthony Stricker picked up the win for the Knights as he fired two innings, allowed one hit and struck out three.
Six separate Cavs recorded a hit, including

Vince Gares (1-4),
Mikayle Holloway (1-4),
Kevin Glynn (1-3, 1BB),
Joe Aurite (1-4, 2B) and Birzes (1-4, 1RBI).
The Blue and White will look to right the ship when they travel to Gwynedd Mercy on Friday, April 21. First pitch is slated for 3pm.
