RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini softball team hosted the Marywood Pacers today at Cabrini Field. The Blue and White scored a 12-4 win over the Pacers in game one but fell 10-9 in the nightcap. The Cavaliers improve to 5-11 overall and 3-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference after today's conference showdown.

Amber Dietrich extended the Cavaliers' lead to 7-0 in the third with a three run home run, her first of two long balls on the day.
Marywood showed life in the fifth inning, as the Pacers rallied for three runs on three hits in the top half.
Savar opened the bottom half with a solo shot to left field, the senior's fourth round tripper on the year.
The game came to a close in the sixth inning. After allowing one run in the top half, the Cavaliers scored four runs in the bottom half to activate the eight run rule.
With two outs to start the inning, Savar recorded her second solo home run to left field, the senior's fifth homer on the year. A single and double by senior
Taylor Gallagher and Dietrich, respectively, put runners on second and third.
Junior
Alexandria Ramos' single split the short stop and second baseman, as Gallagher crossed home plate. Following an infield error that loaded the bases, Schell was able to draw an RBI walk, while Ferraro's RBI single up the middle gave the Cavaliers the win.
Savar and Dietrich led the Cavaliers with three hits and three RBI apiece, to go along with a combined five runs scored. Junior
Jess Giordano impressed again from the circle, allowing just four runs on eight hits in six innings of action.
Marywood fought back in game two. The Pacers scored a pair of runs in the first and three runs in the third and fifth innings to take a commanding 8-0 lead.
With the game on the line, the Blue and White responded for three runs on four hits in the fifth. Just two outs away from finding themselves on the wrong end of the eight run rule, junior
Victoria Hall homered to center field to extend the game. RBI doubles from Alpaugh and Savar cut the Pacers' lead to five.
Marywood scored its ninth and tenth runs in the sixth to take 10-3 lead but the Cavaliers rallied for three runs in the bottom half. Hall's sacrifice fly to left plated Dietrich, while Ferraro and Schell scored on an Alpaugh double to center field.
Trailing 10-6 in the seventh, one out away from defeat, Dietrich homered to left field. Schell kept the run going with an RBI single to right field. A wild pitch plated Hall to bring the Cavaliers to within one run. Ferraro and Alpaugh followed with a pair of walks to load the bases but a groundout the next at bat ended game.
Alpaugh went 3-4 from the batter's box and recorded three RBI, while Hall added a pair of RBI to go along with two runs scored. Juniors
Jenna Rodriguez fell to 1-6 in the circle, after allowing five earned runs in four innings of action.
The Blue and White travels to Clarks Summit (4-8, 0-3 CSAC) tomorrow for a doubleheader. The day's first of two games is set to begin at 3 p.m.
