LA PLUME, PA – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team rebounded from Friday's tough loss to score a 16-6 win at Keystone College today.
With the win, the Blue and White improved to 10-3 overall and 6-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. The win also extended the Cavaliers' CSAC win streak to 46 games.
Junior
Sasha Wozniak led the Cavaliers with a season high seven points, pairing four goals and three assists. Seniors
Allie Vallen and
Jess Breuning joined sophomore
Avery Murphy with four points each, combining for six goals and six assists.

Liz Hoeffner matched Murphy with three goals, while juniors
Gabby Lee and
Jackie Neary and freshman
Lauren Hughes also marked the scoring column.
Neary caused a career high eight turnovers and secured a game high six ground balls. Wozniak paired four ground balls, three caused turnovers and two draw controls, while Breuning chipped in with three ground balls, two caused turnovers and four draw controls.
Lee also recorded three caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls and draw controls.
All three of Cabrini's netminders saw action in the win, with senior
Megan Barlow earning the victory after posting seven saves. Sophomore
Devon Scharf and freshman
Noelia Ramirez combined for three stops on the day.
The Blue and White jumped out to an early lead, as it scored the fame's first eight goals in the opening 14 minutes. Hoeffner tallied all three of her goals during the 8-0 run, while Vallen paired two goals and two helpers.
Cabrini outshot the Giants 44-18 on the day and forced them into just 17-34 in clear chances.
Hannah Zuchowski and Emily Hawkins scored two goals each for Keystone (4-6, 2-4 CSAC) and accounted for 12 of the team's 18 shots on the day. Daphne Leenas suffered the loss despite posting 18 saves.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Tuesday, as they head to Aston, Pa to face Neumann University (5-7, 4-1 CSAC) in a CSAC championship rematch. The opening draw is slated for 4pm.
