WILMINGTON, DE – The Cabrini men's golf team opened its 2017-18 schedule at today's Swarthmore-Neumann Invitational, tying for ninth in a field of 16 teams. The Cavaliers posted a team score of 333 at Rock Manor Golf Club.
Junior
David Gall led the Blue and White with a 18 hole score of +6, 77, on the 6,405 yard course, good for an eighth place tie. Senior
Nick Straub tied for 35th place after a round of 82.
Senior
David Anders carded a round of 86, finishing in a tie for 59th, while junior
Nick Alizzi tied for 57th after shooting an 88.
Swarthmore took the team title with a team score of 297, nine stroke better than Moravian, while Chestnut Hill finished third.
Swarthmore's Michael Brown topped the leader board with a round of 68, besting Moravian's Tyler Smith and Swarthmore's Dan Altieri.
The Cavaliers will return to the links on Sept. 19, when they travel to Hershey, PA for the Elizabethtown College Fall Invitational. Tee time is slated for 12pm at the Hershey Country Club.
