ST. DAVIDS, PA – The Cavaliers could not find their offense on the campus of Eastern University this afternoon, as the Cabrini men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to the Eagles in the Battle for Eagle Road.
The Blue and White fell to 0-7-1 with today's loss, while Eastern improved to 7-1.
The Eagles opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when Eastern's Jacob Myers redirected a shot past Cabrini's sophomore goaltender
Mike Gould.
The score remained 1-0 until the halftime break, as the Blue and White were outshot 14-2 in the opening 45 minutes of action.
Eastern added to its lead in the 66th minute when Cade Harmon turned a Cabrini defensive turnover into the day's second goal. The Eagles closed the scoring in the 80th minute on a Jaden Ramsing penalty kick goal.
The Cavaliers attempted just five shots on the day, and for the first time this season, failed to record a shot on goal. Gould finished the day with six saves.
Cabrini will return to action on Tuesday, when it opens Colonial States Athletic Conference play. The Cavaliers will welcome Rosemont College to Edith Robb Dixon Field for a 7pm kickoff.
