POTTSTOWN, PA – The Cabrini men's golf team scored its first victory under new head coach
Tana Thomas today, as the Cavaliers posted a three stroke victory over Chestnut Hill College at the Ursinus College Fall Invitational.
The Blue and White posted a team score of 313 on the par 71, 6,370 yard circuit to take the team title in a field of nine teams.
Junior
David Gall and freshman
Timmy Brooks led Cabrini, as both posted top five scores.
Gall finished fourth overall with a round of two over par, 72. In his collegiate debut, Brooks placed fifth after carding a round of 75.
Junior
Nick Alizzi's 82 was good for a 17th place tie, two places ahead of senior
Nick Straub.
Freshman
John Mallozzi tied for 24th after today's round of 86, while senior
David Anders tied for 26th after shooting a round of 88.
Wesley's Tyler Spielberger bested 47 golfers to take the individual title after a tiebreaker with Penn State-Abington's Shane Nocito.
The Blue and White will continue to ride today's performance as it competes in the Moravian College Fall Invitational on Thursday. Tee time is scheduled for 12:30pm at Bath, PA's Southmore Golf Course.
