Allentown, PA - The Cabrini women's soccer team picked up their second consecutive victory tonight with a 3-0 decision over Cedar Crest.
With the win the Cavaliers improve their record to 4-1-3 overall and 2-0-2 in the CSAC.
The Blue and White continued their aggressive offensive play as they recorded 29 shots on the night, including a season high 19 shots on goal. The defense, meanwhile held the Falcons offense at bay, allowing just three shots and two on goal.
With tonight's 29 shot performance, the Blue and White have recorded at least 23 shots in four consecutive games and in six of eight games overall.
Senior
Taylor Tralie opened up the scoring in the 26' with her third goal of the season. Cabrini would carry that 1-0 lead into the intermission.
The Cavs struck quickly coming out of the break as Tralie played a short corner kick from sophomore
Katelyn Gilinger and sent the ball over the keepers head, giving the Cavs a 2-0 advantage in the 52'.
Freshman
Brittany Purdy put the game on ice as she notched the first goal of her Cavalier career in the 80' to cap the scoring.
Senior keeper
Gabby LeGendre recorded two saves in tonight's win and picked up her fourth shutout of the season along the way. Cedar Crest junior goalie Morgan Maddock played well for the host Falcons as she tied her season high with 16 saves on the night.
The Blue and White will be back in action this Saturday as they travel to Scranton, PA to face the Marywood Pacers at noon.
