HAVERFORD, PA – The Cabrini field hockey team fell to 0-3 on the season after today's 3-1 nonconference loss at Haverford College.
The Cavaliers outshot the Fords 11-7 in the opening 35 minutes of action and forced nine first half penalty corners, but could not make any of them count.
After a scoreless first half, Haverford turned up its offensive pressure. The Fords made the most of their scoring opportunities, marking the scoring column in the 41st and 47th minutes.
The Blue and White answered in the 50th minute, as senior
Maddy Worley tallied her second goal of the season off a pass from classmate
Sara Johnsen.
While Cabrini looked to push forward for the game-tying goal, its defense was put to the test. Haverford forced six of its11 second half penalty corners over the next 10 minutes before putting the game away with a third goal in the 62nd frame.

Jackie Neary led the Cavaliers with six of the team's 17 shots on the day, while Worley and fellow senior
Alexandra Swallow added three each.

Taylor Bookman recorded 10 saves for the Blue and White.
Mason McNulty scored twice for the Fords (2-0), while Danielle Rette added nine save sin the victory.
The Cavaliers will make their Edith Robb Dixon Field debut on Saturday, as they host Gettysburg College (0-2). The opening whistle is slated for 12 noon.
