Radnor, PA - The Cabrini women's basketball team used a dominant second half effort against Centenary University to secure their 17th win of the season and 15th consecutive.
The 61-32 victory was their largest margin of victory since Janaury 11th's 81-35 victory over Notre Dame of Maryland University.

Nomi Washington led all scorers with 15 points on an efficient 7-of-13 shooting and was the only Cavalier in double figures. The junior chipped in five rebounds, two assists and four steals as well. Sophomore

Lexi Edwards each tallied eight points, while sophomore
Meghan Matthews finished with a game high eight boards and added seven points.
The Blue and White got off to a slow start as they had just two points through the first four minutes of action. A three from freshman
Kate Lannon, who finished with seven points and six boards, put the Cavs up 5-3 on their ensuing possession and sparked a 13-to-4 run to end the quarter.
Up 15-7 at the start of the second, Cabrini used an 8-to-1 run, highlighted by six consecutive points from Washington, to push their lead to 23-8. A 7-to-3 spurt in favor of the visiting Cyclones cut the Cavs lead to 26-15. Centenary would eventually trim their deficit to just 10 points and head to the half trailing Cabrini 31-21.
The Cavs used an 18-to-3 run across the entire third quarter to balloon their lead to 25 points and followed it up by allowing just eight points in the fourth quarter. All told, Cabrini allowed just 11 points, five field goals, and held the Cyclones to just 18.5% from the field in the second half. They outscored Centenary 30-to-11 in the final 20 minutes of play.
The Blue and White held a 23-to-11 advantage in turnovers, resulting in a 25-to-7 advantage in points off turnovers, and outscored Centenary 34-to-16 in the paint.
With the win the Cavaliers improve to 17-2 overall and 10-0 in conference play. They will next take the court on Wednesday, January 31st when they host Gwynedd Mercy University. Game time is slated for 6pm.
