Radnor, Pa - The Cabrini women's basketball team extended their win streak to seven games this afternoon as they toppled the Keystone College Giants by a 74-50 final.

Lexi Edwards led the bunch. Edwards tallied a game high 17 points as she went 3-of-5 from beyond the arc in just 19 minutes of action. Classmates
Kate Lannon and
Ashley Tutzauer knocked down a trio of long balls each, as Lannon finished with 13 points, while Tutzauer finished with 12 points. Junior
Nomi Washington continued her well rounded play with five points, eight rebounds and five assists.
The Blue and White led from start to finish as they opened the game on a 10-to-2 run, highlighted by five points from sophomore
Cassidy Gallagher. Senior
Kate Skalski capped the big first quarter with a three ball with just five seconds remaining to give Cabrini an early 24-9 lead.
The Cavaliers dominated the second quarter as their defense held the Giants to just 1-of-14 (7.1%) from the field resulting in a total of just five points. The Blue and White headed into the halftime break with a commanding 38-14 lead.
Keystone opened up the second half with a 6-to-1 spurt to cut their deficit to 19, but the Cavs would respond with an 11-to-2 run of their own to balloon their lead to 50-22 with just under three minutes left in the quarter. Cabrini would enter the final stanza with a 54-29 lead.
With the game secure, the Blue and White were able to coast to the 74-50 final as they received late game contributions from Skalski (eight points), senior
Brittany Runyen (two points), and freshmen
Brianna Blair and
Lauren Coscia.
Keystone junior Sydney Craig led the Giants with 13 points, while senior Nina Hodanich added 10 points and two steals.
With the win the Cavs improve to 9-2 overall and 3-0 in the CSAC. They will next take the hardwood on Tuesday, January 9th when they travel to Rosemont, PA to take on the Ravens. Game time is slated for 6pm.
