WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Cabrini swim teams hit the road today for a dual meet at King's College. The women suffered a 126-79 loss, while the men fell 137-68.
Junior
Lauren Finnegan and sophomore
Cameron Mousley led the respective teams with a pair of distance events wins each.
Finnegan recorded a winning time in the 1,000-yard freestyle (12:03.79) and 500-yard freestyle (5:43.84). The junior also scored a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle.
Mousley claimed victory in the 1000- and 500-yard freestyle events, posting times of 10:26.89 and 5:02.66, respectively.
Freshman
Sarah Gudas also stood atop the podium for the Blue and White, reaching the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.78. The rookie added a second place finish in the 100-yard freestyle.
Junior
Matt Schaeffer also posted a victorious time of 2:02.82 to claim the 200-yard individual medley before finishing second in the 100-yard breast stroke.
Freshman
Mac Granto added a pair of second place finishes in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Friday, when they welcome Ursinus College to the Dixon Center Pool. The action will get underway at 6pm.
