BRYN MAWR, PA – After a 10 day break from competition, the Cabrini swim teams returned to action tonight, as they faced Bryn Mawr and Elizabethtown Colleges in a tri-meet.
The Blue and White men suffered a 106-98 loss to the Blue Jays, while the ladies topped Elizabethtown 115-89 and suffered a 112-92 loss to the host Owls.
Junior
Matt Schaeffer and sophomore
Cameron Mousley led the Cavaliers, combining for five individual victories.
Schaeffer scored three of those wins, topping the podium in the 200-yard individual medley (2:06.16), 100-yard freestyle (50.02) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.74).
Mousley reached the wall first in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:39.15) and 500-yard freestyle (5:04.52) and finished second to Schaeffer in the 100-yard freestyle.
Sophomore
Luke McDevitt and freshman
Mac Granto added second place finishes in the 50- and 200-yard freestyle events, respectively.
The Cavaliers also scored second place finishes in the 200-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relay events.
Junior
Lauren Finnegan helped pace the Blue and White women, scoring a victory in the 200-yard freestyle (2:05.21). Freshman
Tara McCloskey matched Finnegan's winning effort, winning the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.36).

Sarah Gudas closed the night on a high note, winning the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:50.90).
Buckman, Finnegan, Gudas and McCloskey also accounted for four of the Cavaliers' six second place finishes on the night.
The Cavaliers will head north to Alfred, NY on Saturday, as they will face the Alfred State Pioneers at 1pm.
