OWINGS MILLS, MD – The Cavaliers nearly erased a 21 point second half deficit tonight, but Stevenson pulled away in the final minutes, downing Cabrini 94-79.
The Blue and White's third consecutive loss dropped the club to 2-4 on the season.

Anthony Wright-Downing led the Cavaliers with 27 points on 10-14 shooting and a career high 18 rebounds. Freshman
Ry Byars added 14 points off the bench, including 12 in the second half, while classmate
Voshon Mack paired 13 points and eight boards. Sophomore
Trey Smith chipped in with 10 points.
The Mustangs took control of the action midway through the first half. Leading 15-13, Stevenson used a 26-6 run over the next 7:30 to blow the game open. The Cavaliers found themselves in a 41-19 hole with just over six minutes left in the first half.
At the half, the Blue and White trailed 54-36 after shooting just over 41% from the floor. Cabrini shot 13-23 inside the three point arc, but connected on just 2-13 from beyond the arc and 4-12 from the free throw line. The Cavaliers also committed 11 first half turnovers, which led to 15 Stevenson points.
An early Stevenson triple pushed their lead to a game-high 57-36 before the Cavaliers changed their fortunes. Over the next 12 minutes, Cabrini slowly climbed back into the game, as it outscored Stevenson 32-12, pulling to within 69-68 on a pair of Wright-downing free throws with seven minutes to play.
The Mustangs completed a traditional three point play on their next possession to push their lead back for four points. Sophomore
DJ Smith hit Mack for a dunk on Cabrini's ensuing possession, but Stevenson responded with a 10-2 spurt over the next four minutes, pushing its lead to a more comfortable 82-72 lead with just over two minutes on the clock.
The Cavaliers continued to struggle with their three points shooting touch in the second half, draining just one of their 11 second half three point attempts.
Seven Mustangs scored at least seven points on the night, led by Mark Terrell's 25 points. Sean Mayberry added 15 points and seven boards off the bench.
The Cavaliers will look to change their fortunes this weekend, as they compete at the Juniata College Doc Greene Tournament. Cabrini will open the weekend against Lebanon Valley College (2-5) at 5pm on Friday in Huntingdon, PA.
