WILMINGTON, DE – The Cabrini golf teams made their 2018 debuts today, as both teams faced Neumann University in a pair of dual matches at Rock Manor Country Club in Wilmington, DE.
The Blue and White men scored a 326-329 victory, while the Cabrini women topped the Knights 482-513.
Junior
David Gall and senior
Nick Straub led the Cavaliers with matching rounds of 77 on the par 71, 6,045 yard circuit, good for second place overall.
Senior
David Anders and junior
Nick Alizzi shot rounds of 85 to finish tied for fifth, while freshman
Mike McCuen's round of 109 earned the 10th spot.
Neumann's Joe Mitchell posted the day's low round with a score of 72.
The Cabrini women posted the three lowest scores in their dual match. Freshman
Ashley Moore won the individual women's medal with a round of 112 in her collegiate debut.
Sophomore
Caitlin Bullock's 116 was good for second, while freshman
Abi Fricke's round of 120 secured third place. Fellow rookie
Kaylee Plisinski scored around of 134, tying for seventh place.
The Blue and White men will return to action on March 28, as they compete in the Dickinson College Invitational at Mayapple Golf Course in Carlisle, PA.
The Cavaliers women's team will next compete on Saturday March 31 at the Arcadia University Invitational at Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, NJ.
