Aston, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team pushed their Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) record to 2-2 this evening as they defeated the Neumann University Knights by a 5-4 final.
Seniors
Stefanie Barkofski and
Maggie Javitt started things off with a decisive 8-2 victory over their Neumann counterparts, while sophomores
Lattana Sithara and
Sydney Lynch followed it up with an 8-2 decision of their own.Â
Neumann picked up their first team point in No. 3 doubles with an 8-6 match win.Â
Barkofski and Javitt cruised through their singles matches, winning 6-0, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-2 in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Lynch went on to secure the team victory for the Blue and White as she topped Neumann's MiKayla Radisch 6-0, 6-4.Â
With the win, the Cavaliers move to 3-5 overall and will look for their second consecutive victory when they travel to Marywood University on Wednesday, March 28th.Â
