HACKETTSTOWN, NJ – The Cabrini softball teams scored a pair of Colonial States Athletic Conference wins today, as the Cavaliers made the trip to Centenary University.
Cabrini topped the Cyclones 2-0 and 14-0 to improve to 6-8 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
The Blue and White got all of the offense it needed in the opener in the first inning, as senior

Giordano then took the pitcher's circle and made her RBI stand up, as she scattered five hits over seven innings of work with three strikeouts and three walks.
Cabrini added an insurance run in the top of the fifth. Freshman
Aysiah Cintron, who singled and stole second, scored on a single to right field by sophomore Darien Caputo.
The Blue and White needed just six hits to earn the victory, with Giordano and Cintron notching two each.
The Cavaliers recorded a season-high 16 hits and matched a season best 14 runs in the nightcap.
Cabrini's sticks were hot early, as Caputo led the game with a single before stealing second and scoring on a Ferraro double. The crossed the plate two batters later on a Giordano fielder's choice.

After a scoreless third inning, the Cabrini offense exploded in the fourth, scoring eight runs on nine hits.
The first five Cavaliers reached base with singles, as senior
Victoria Hall and Young crossed the plate. Giordano reached on an error, with Ferraro and Caputo scoring unearned runs.
Following a Centenary pitching change, junior
Marissa Alpaugh scored on a wild pitch, pushing the lead to 10-0. Giordano and Hall scored unearned runs on singles by Hall and young, before Ferraro notched her fifth RBI of the day to score Hall.
The Cavaliers ended the scoring in the fifth, as freshman

While the Blue and White offense was on point, freshman Casey Schueren shut down the Cyclones' offense, scattering three hits with three strikeouts over five innings.
Ferraro had a career game, going 4-4 with five RBI, each career highs, with two runs scored. Caputo and Young also had perfect days at the plate, going 3-3 and scoring a combined five runs.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Monday, as they cross Eagle Road for a single game against local rival Eastern University (4-8). First pitch is slated for 3pm.
