DOWNINGTON, PA – The Cabrini men's golf team closed the first round of the Rosemont College Invitational tied for seventh place in the 15 team field.
The Cavaliers posted a team score of 317 on the par 70, 6,341 yard course at Honeybrook Golf Club.
Senior
Nick Straub posted a six over par, 76, to tie for 19th after today's first round. Classmate
David Anders is locked in a four way tie for 31st after posting an 88 today.
Junior
Nick Alizzi's round of 81 was good for 39th place, while fellow junior
David Gall posted a first round score of 82 secured 47th place.
York College owns a 12 stroke lead over Swarthmore College and 15 stroke lead over the host Ravens and Farmingdale State on the team leader board, after today's opening round 283.
York is led by Tyler Newton who posted the day's low round of one under par 69, one stroke better than teammate Joel Marshall and Swarthmore's Michael Brown.
The Cavaliers will look to make their move up the leader board during Sunday's second round. The action will get underway at 10am at Downingtown Country Club.
