DOWNINGTOWN, PA – The Cabrini men's golf team battled cold and wind during today's second round of the Rosemont College Invitational. The Cavaliers posted a team score of 322 today, for a two day total of 649 to place sixth in the 14 team field.
Senior
David Anders led the Blue and White, posting a 80 today for a two day total of 158 to finish in an 18th place tie in the field of 72 players at Downingtown Country Club.
Classmate
Nick Straub finished the two-day event one stroke behind Anders, pairing rounds of 76 and 83 to finish tied for 21st.
Juniors
David Gall and
Nick Alizzi finished in a five-way tie for 33rd, after recording final scores of 166. Freshman
Mike McCuen paired rounds of 105 and 104 to finish 70th.
York College carried yesterday's lead through today's 18 holes, as its two-day score of 608 was good for a three stroke win over Swarthmore College, while the host Raven finished third.
York's Tyler Newtown claimed the individual title, as his rounds of 69 and 79 were enough to claim a three stroke win over Arcadia's Kyle Henofer, Farmingdale State's Andrew Goldman and Swarthmore's Vamsi Damerla.
The Blue and White will return to the links on Tuesday, as they compete in the Jefferson University Spring Invitational at the ACE Club. Tee time is slated for 11am in Lafayette Hill, PA.
