SCRANTON, PA – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team completed its 14th undefeated conference slate today, with a hard fought 13-12 victory at Marywood University.
With the win, the Blue and White improved to 10-6 overall. Today's victory marked the 21st time in the 22 year history of the program that the team has also reached at least 10 victories.
By virtue of its 8-0 record in Colonial States Athletic Conference play, the Cavaliers have clinched the number one seed, home field advantage and a first round bye in the upcoming CSAC Tournament.
Senior
Jackie Neary entered the CSAC record book in today's win, as the senior caused four turnovers, giving her 136 for her career, breaking the previous mark of 134 held by Neumann's Alexa McIntyre (2013-16).

Emma Rodner-Tims marked the scoring column over the next 90 seconds, with Tutzauer and Murphy linking again to give Cabrini a 4-1 lead midway through the half.
Marywood had an answer, reeling off four unanswered goals of its own, regaining its one goal cushion with 7:25 left in the first half.
Neary's second goal marked the third tie of the first half, but the Pacers responded with back to back tallies to take a two goal lead, its largest of the day. Senior
Emily Crouse got into the scoring column in the final minutes of the stanza, as Cabrini trailed 7-6 at the half.
Both teams scored early in the second half, as Marywood held its 9-7 lead with 24 minutes to play. Crouse's second goal of the day pulled the Blue and White back to within one before Murphy made her mark on the game.
The junior paired three draw controls and three goals over a span of 3:34, leading Cabrini to an 11-9 lead midway through the half, one it would not relinquish.
Maryood tallied a woman-up goal, cutting its deficit to 11-10, but Murphy notched her 65th goal of the season with 6:14 to play, re-establishing Cabrini's two goal lead.
After another Pacer's goal, Crouse netted what proved to be the game-winner, finishing a free position shot with 4:08 to play.
Despite surrendering a late goal and a pair of late turnovers, the Cavaliers made their lead hold, as junior goaltender
Devon Scharf recorded two of her 12 saves over the final 3:21.
Murphy paced the Blue and White attack with nine points on six goals and three assists to go with 11 draw controls, while Crouse matched career highs with three goals, five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Neary stuffed the stat sheet with two goals, six ground balls and three draw controls to go with her four caused turnovers. Junior
Katie Kucia matched Tutzauer with four ground balls, one more than sophomore
Sarah McCarron, while Kucia also forced two Marywood miscues.
Sam Bussinelli led the Pacers (9-6, 7-1 CSAC) with four goals and three helpers, while Gwyneth Gleason and Caitlin Watson added three goals each. Haley Risi caused five turnovers, while goaltender Mary Leahy notched nine saves.
The Blue and White will return to Scranton on Wednesday, as it closes the regular season against the University of Scranton (9-6, 5-1 Landmark). Game time is set for 7pm.
