FLEETWOOD, PA – The Cabrini men's golf team closed the first round of the 2018 CSAC Championship in third place, as the Cavaliers posted a team score of 336.
The Blue and White ended today's 18 holes 27 strokes behind leader Rosemont at the 6,470 yard, par 70 Moselem Springs Golf Club. Marywood's team score of 316 was good for second place.
Junior
David Gall lead the Cavaliers after 18 holes, as the junior closed the day tied for eighth after posting a score of 81.
Senior
Nick Straub and
Nick Alizzi also posted to 10 finishes, as the pair's 18 hole score of 82 tied for 10th place.
Senior
David Anders' round of 91 was good for 22nd place, while freshman
Mike McCuen tied for 30th after today's round of 105.
Rosemont's Jordan Cook closed the day with the lead, as his round of 75 was one stroke better than Marywood's Nicholas Biondi.
The 41 golfers will return to the course on Saturday at 11am for the final 18 holes of the championship.
