What's at Stake?
The Cavaliers and Generals will meet for the right to move on to the NCAA Tournament's Second Round scheduled for Sunday, where they will square off against No. 8 York (13-4, 7-1 CAC).
The Blue and White will make its 15th NCAA Tournament appearance and seventh in a row, after earning the Colonial States Athletic Conference's automatic bid with Saturday's 20-14 comeback win over Marywood in the CSAC championship.
The Generals are making their 18th trip to the tournament after claiming their ninth consecutive Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) title. W&L trailed Randolph-Macon 2-1 before scoring 11 of the game's next 12 goals en route to a comfortable 14-7 victory.
How Cabrini Got Here
The Cavaliers enter the tournament after another undefeated conference slate that ended with its seventh consecutive CSAC title. The Blue and White extended its conference win streak to 57 games, while outscoring its opponents 148-51 in league play.
Juniors
Liz Hoeffner and
Avery Murphy pace a Cabrini offensive attack that ranks 20th in the country, scoring 15.89 goals per game. The junior duo has combined for 211 points on the year, becoming the second and third Cavaliers to surpass 100 points in a season. The juniors also rank first and second on the program's single season goals list with 91 and 76, respectively.
Senior
Jackie Neary's all-around game has been on display all season, as the senior leads team with 57 ground balls and 57 caused turnovers (20th in Division III), while her 77 draw controls rank second on the team. Junior
Katie Kucia has also made a major impact in the defensive unit, pairing 54 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers.

Devon Scharf has manned the Blue and White crease, starting all 19 contests with a 13.04 goals against average with 113 saves.
How Washington & Lee Got Here
W&L secured its 18th NCAA Tournament appearance with Saturday's 14-7 victory over Randolph-Macon in the ODAC championship game. The title marked the program's ninth straight crown and 18th overall.
The Generals boast a balanced attack that features seven players with north of 20 points on the year. Junior Cordelia Peters and senior Jess Castelo lead the team with 66 and 62 points, respectively, and a combined 84 goals. Sophomore Collette Murray and freshman Landon Shelley also join the duo with between 21 and 23 assists on the season.
Junior Rebecca Wellford and Murray control the draw circle, corralling 140 draws on the year. Senior Riley Garcia anchors the defensive effort, pairing team-highs of 34 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers.
Gilbert and senior Hannah Wiltshire have shared starting duties in the Generals' cage, combining for nearly 1,100 of the team's 1,140 minutes. The duo has combined for a 7.21 goals against average with a .507 save percentage
Cabrini Last Time Out: Cabrini 20, Marywood 14 (CSAC Championship, 5/5/2018, Radnor, PA)
With less than five minutes to play in the first half, the Cavaliers trailed 11-6, but a free position save by Scharf changed the game, sparking a comeback for the ages. Cabrini scored the final three goals of the first half to pull within 11-9 at the break, before scoring 10 of the first 11 goals of the second half to take the lead and pull away.
Marywood had no answers in the second half, as the Blue and White built a 21-8 advantage in shots, controlled 11 of the 15 second half draws and earned eight free position shots.
Hoeffner earned her second consecutive CSAC MVP honor, scoring each of her eight goals after the break to lead the comeback. Murphy added six goals and a game-high 12 draw. Junior

Lauren Hughes and Neary notched three assists each.

Washington & Lee Last Time Out: Washington & Lee 14, Randolph-Macon 7 (ODAC Championship, 5/5/2018, Lexington, VA)
Trailing 2-1 midway through the first half, the Generals reeled off 11 of the game's next 12 goals, spanning the first and second halves. The run established a comfortable 12-3 lead for W&L with just over 16 minutes to play.
Shelley and Castelo led the Generals with 11 points, joining forces for six goals and five dimes. Peters, senior Mimi MacCowatt and sophomore Dani Murray added three points each.
Dani Murray and Wellford combined for seven of the team's eight draw controls. Castelo and sophomore Caitlin Anderson paired two caused turnovers and four ground balls each, while Garcia added three and three. Sophomore goaltender Elliot Gilbert notched 14 saves to earn the victory.
