Glenside, PA - The Cabrini men's tennis team improved to 2-0 in the Fall season following yesterday's 6-3 victory over the hosting Arcadia University Knights.
The Blue and White took two of three matches in doubles play and four of six singles matches en route to the 6-3 final.
Sophomore's

Ben Mead secured the first Cavalier win of the day in No. 2 doubles thanks to a hard fought 8-4 final over Arcadia's Jaime Zeng Zhu and John Zinzer. Junior

James Humes, meanwhile took care of business in No. 3 doubles following a comfortable 8-2 victory.

Vince Paetow were edged 8-4 in a tight battle in the No. 1 flight.
Cabrini controlled most of the singles action as Humes (6-0, 6-0), Mead (6-2, 6-1) and Falcone (6-3, 6-1) cruised to comfortable victories in flights No. 6, No. 5 and No. 3, respectively.
Tilley forced a decisive third set in the No. 4 flight after splitting the opening sets 3-6, 7-6. The Malvern, PA native topped his Arcadia counterpart 7-4 in the third set to secure the victory.
LaMantia (1-6, 3-6) and Paetow (4-6, 9-11) turned in solid efforts for the Blue and White in flights No. 1 and No. 2, but were ultimately edged.
Following Thursday's action, the Cavaliers improve to 2-0 and will look to cap their Fall season with a win when they host Penn State Berks on Friday, October 12th. Match time is slated for 3:30pm.
