Similar to their last game, the Blue and White trailed for less than a minute in total as they found their offensive rhythm early. After Wesley opened up the scoring, the Blue and White rattled off the aforementioned 13-to-0 run to quickly take control of the game.
An and-one from Wesley's Katelyn Watson briefly trimmed the lead until the Cavs answered with two quick layups from sophomore
Caitlin King and Tutzauer. As mentioned, a buzzer beating jumper from Blair would punctuate a 13-to-3 run to end the quarter.
Cabrini would balloon their lead to an eventual 25 points with 3:49 left in the first half following a jumper in the paint from Matthews to give the Cavs a 38-13 lead. Both teams would trade baskets for the remainder of the quarter until Tutzauer drilled a triple with five seconds left to give the Cavs a 44-21 advantage heading into the intermission.
The Blue and White outscored the Wolverines 40-29 in the second half as they were able to coast to their third Atlantic East Conference victory behind a strong effort on both sides of the ball.
In total, the Cavalier defense forced 24 turnovers, 16 of which came in the first half, and held the visitors to just 25 percent shooting from the field. The Wolverines were led offensively by Stacey O'Neale's 14 points and four assists.
