RADNOR, PA – The Cavaliers erased a 13 points second half deficit and evened the score at 67 with just over three minutes to play, but a quick 5-0 Marywood spurt proved to be the difference, as the Cabrini men's basketball team suffered a 78-74 loss to the visiting Pacers tonight at Nerney Field House.
Senior

Cabrini trailed by a game-high 15 points with 2:11 left before the half, but the Cavaliers closed the period with a 7-2 run. Senior DeVahnté Mosley found Wright-Downing for a fast break bucket in the final second to send the Cavaliers back to the locker room trailing 42-34 at the half.
The Cavaliers continued their run into the second half, pulling to within 45-41 on a Robinson jumper. The Pacers remained calm, extending their cushion to 60-47 as sophomore Tone Cockrell hit senior Jeremy Ringland for a jumper with 10:35 to play.
The Blue and White turned to its defense over the next seven minutes, as it used a 20-7 run to pull even at 67. Four Cavaliers marked the scoring column during the spurt, including a pair of Saintilus triples, the second of which tied the score with 3:16 on the clock.
The Pacers responded with a Cockrell triple and short jumper in the paint by senior Thomas Swartz to quickly regain a five point cushion.
A Robinson three pointer temporarily stemmed the Marywood run, but the Cavaliers could not get the needed defensive stops, as the Pacers scored on their next three possessions to put the game out of reach.
Swartz paired career highs of 34 points and 15 rebounds for Marywood (10-5, 2-0 Atlantic East), while Cockrell and fellow sophomore Jack DeGroot added 13 points each and combined for seven steals.
