ABINGTON, PA - The Cabrini women's soccer team rallied for a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory this evening against Penn State University Abington.
Senior
Lindsey Armanini tallied the game winner off a corner for her first career goal with just over a minute to play in the first overtime period.
In total, the Cavalier offense held a 21-9 advantage in shots, including an 11-3 advantage in shots on goal, as they controlled much of the action. Cabrini also fell just one corner shy of matching their season high as they finished with 18 on the night.

Following a scoreless first half, the Lions' Taylor Perkowsi, who attempted a game high five shots, opened the scoring just 40 seconds into the second stanza to hand the hosts the 1-0 advantage.
The score would stand into the 83rd minute until Wood tallied the unassisted equalizer to knot things at one apiece, ultimately giving way to overtime.
The Cavs controlled the OT period as they attempted three shots, while holding the Lions' to none. As mentioned, Armaninni delivered the game winner in the 98th minute off a corner to lift the Cavs past Abington.
Following today's match, the Blue and White improve to 7-2-1 overall and will take a short break before hosting Montclair State University on Sunday, October 6th at Edith Robb Dixon Field. Game time is slated for 2pm.
