COLLEGEVILLE, PA – The Cabrini swim teams opened their 2019-20 season with some impressive performances today at Ursinus College. The women suffered a 107-89 loss to the No. 20 ranked Bears, while the men fell 114.5-82.5.
Junior
Cameron Mousley picked up where he ended last season, scoring a pair of wins. The junior won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:50.0 before posting a winning time of 5:00.35 in the 500-yard freestyle.
Both the men and women also scored wining times in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Sophomore
Marc Consiglio reached the wall first in the men's race with a time of 1:05.24, while junior
Tara McCloskey's time of 1:11.16 was good for a Blue and White victory.
McCloskey also scored a second place finish in the 200-yard individual medley, one of five second place finishes for the Cavaliers.
Juniors
Ciara Thompson (500-yard freestyle) and junior
Tori DeLusant (100-yard backstroke) joined sophomores
Sarah Gudas (50-yard freestyle) and
Maddie Werndl (100-yard breaststroke) with second place finishes for the women.
Sophomore
Mac Granto added a second place finish in the 50-yard freestyle for the men.
The Cavaliers will make the Dixon Center Pool debut next Saturday, when they host King's College. The action will get underway at 1pm.
