SCRANTON, PA – Freshman
Matt Duddy's 82nd minute goal broke a 2-2 deadlock and gave the Cavaliers an important 3-2 road victory at Marywood tonight.
Cabrini's third consecutive victory evens the team's record at 7-7-1 overall, while it improved to 3-1 in the Atlantic East Conference. With just two matches remaining in the regular season, the Blue and White remain in contention for one of the top seeds in the upcoming conference tournament.
The Cavaliers got on the board in the 36th minute as recipients of a Marywood defensive miscue that led to an own goal.
The lead was short lived, as the Pacers' Richard Fuchs found the back of the net just 35 seconds later.
The score remained tied through an evenly played first half that included the teams evenly splitting 15 shots and four corner kicks.
The home side climbed in front early in the second half, as Fuchs netted his second goal of the night in the 51st minute.
The Blue and White had an answer in the 58th minute, as junior

Anthony Zampirri collected four saves to earn the victory.
Fuchs scored his two goals on four shots for Marywood (6-10, 1-3 Atlantic East), while goaltender Mike Gallagher matched Zampirri's fours saves.
The Cavaliers will hit the road on Saturday, as they will pay a visit to Gwynedd Mercy (5-12-1, 1-4 Atlantic East). Kickoff is slated for 12pm in Gwynedd Valley, PA.
