RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini women's soccer team celebrated senior day in style today following a 5-0 victory over the visiting Gwynedd Mercy University Griffins. 

During today's game, the Blue and White celebrated the careers of their 10 seniors, including Lindsey Armanini, Alex Garces, Katelyn Gilinger, Caroline Gormley, Grace Newton, Marissa Portelli, Brenna Stocklin, Diana VanSickle, Maddy Wojton, and Rachel Wood. 

As a group, these ladies have led Cabrini to 43 victories, including a 23-4-5 record in conference games, as well as two NCAA Tournament appearances and one conference championship.  In their 490 career games, they have recorded 55 goals, 43 assists and 153 points.

Gilinger, Portelli and Garces in particular played a key role in today's victory as the former tallied a pair of goals, while Portelli and Garces combined for a goal and three assists. 

In total, the Blue and White out shot the Griffins 21-2, including a 10-1 advantage in shots on goal, while finishing with a 10-1 edge in corner kicks. 

Following a scoreless first stanza, the Cavs turned up the pressure out of the break as Portelli beat the Griffins keeper for the 1-0 lead. 

The offense hit their stride in the ensuing 15 minutes of play as they notched a pair of goals in the 56th minute thanks to strikes from Gilinger and junior Maria Hagan, and capped the run with an own goal from the Griffins in the 60th minute. 

Gilinger would put the game on ice in the 89th minute with her second goal of the match. 

Following today's contest, the Cavs improve to 11-3-2 overall and 3-1-1 in Atlantic East Conference play. They will close out their regular season on October 30th when they travel to Arlington, VA to face Marymount University. Match time is slated for 7pm.
