RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini swim teams faced their first Atlantic East Conference competition today, as they welcomed the Marymount Saints to the Dixon Center Pool.
The Cavaliers emerged with a pair of wins, as the women triumphed 129-71 while the men won 119-85.
For the second consecutive meet, sophomore
Maddie Werndl led the women, scoring a pair of wins. The sophomore claimed victory in the 200-yard freestyle (2:12.30) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:47.56).
Classmate
Marisa Linsky added a win in the 1,000-yard freestyle (12:17.28). while classmate
Sarah Gudas paired a 50-yard freestyle win (26.51) with a second place finish in the 100-yard freestyle.
Junior
Tori DeLusant added a victory in the 200-yard backstroke (2:24.03).
The Blue and White punctuated the win with first and second place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle relay, the final event of the day. The quartet of Werndl, DeLusant, junior

Gudas posted a winning time of 1:49.49.
Sophomore
Mac Granto paced the men's squad, posting a pair of victories for the second time in two weeks. The sophomore won the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.89) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:27.12).
Four Cavaliers also paired first and second place finishes today. Junior
Cameron Mousley won the 100-yard freestyle (50.52), while finishing second in the 400-yard individual medley (4:33.24).
Classmate
Luke McDevitt paired a 50-yard freestyle victory (23.06) with a second place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, while freshman
Ryan Bosch claimed the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:52.04) and finished second in the 500-yard freestyle.
Fellow junior
Kurt Schuehler also scored a win in the 200-yard backstroke (2:10.70) while reaching the wall second in the 200-yard freestyle.
Like the women, the Cavaliers left the pool on a high note, claiming victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay, with freshman
Jason Highet joining Bosch, Mousley and Granto for a winning time of 1:35.61.
The Cavaliers will return to action next Saturday, as they play host to Albright College. The action is set to get underway at 1pm at the Dixon Center Pool.
