YORK, PA - The Cavaliers got off to a slow start and never found their collective footing tonight, as the Cabrini men's basketball team suffered a 107-67 loss at York College in the team's first game action in nearly two weeks.
The Spartan opened the night with back to back three pointers on their first two possessions and built a double figure lead less than five minutes after the opening whistle.
The Blue and White could not cut into the deficit, as it shot just .370 from the floor in the opening 20 minute period. Cabrini missed on each of its five first half three point attempts and shot just 4-10 from the free throw line as they trailed 44-25 at the halftime break.
The Cavaliers could not change their fortunes as the game moved to the second half, connecting on .375 from the field, including 4-10 from three point range.
The home team, meanwhile, took advantage of Cabrini's shooting woes, draining 24-35 from the field after the break, including 8-12 from beyond the arc.
For the game, York shot .558 from the floor, including 14-35 from three point range, and dominated the paint, to the tune of a 56-30 advantage. The Spartans also converted Cabrini's 18 turnovers into 22 points.
