RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini swim teams closed their 2019 calendar year with a pair of impressive results, as the Blue and White men and women scored wins over Lebanon Valley.
The women topped the Dutchmen 133-71, while the men captured a 120-55 victory.
Cabrini swimmers reached the wall first in 17 of the night's 22 events, while the Blue and White filled the podium eight times.
Junior
Tara McCloskey and sophomores
Maddie Werndl and
Sarah Gudas led the women, as each scored a pair of individual wins.
McCloskey posted victorious times in the 200-yard individual medley (2:27.04) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.66).
Gudas claimed both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events (26.53; 59.88), while Werndl won both of the distance events, the 500-yard freestyle (5:49.67) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:53.28).
The ladies also bookended the meet with a pair of relay victories. The quartet of sophomore

Tara Frino and junior
Kelly Schuehler opened the night with a win in the 200-medley relay (2:02.40).
Werndl and juniors
Ciara Thompson and
Tori DeLusant joined Gudas in winning the 200-freestyle relay (1:50.60) in the final event of the night.
The men's team rode a balanced team performance to victory, as five Cavaliers combined for the team's seven event wins. Junior
Luke McDevitt and sophomore
Mac Granto led the way, tallying two individual wins each.
McDevitt posted victorious times in the 50-yard freestyle (23.06) and 100-yard backstroke (58.16), while Granto recorded the night's fastest times in the 100-yard freestyle (49.26) and 1,000 yard freestyle (11:05.78).
Juniors
Nick Conroy and
Cameron Mousley also joined freshman
Ryan Bosch atop the podium.
Like the women, the men also scored a victory in the meet's opening event, as the quartet of junior
Kurt Schuehler, Mousley, McDevitt and senior
Alex Maiorana teamed to win the 200-yard medley relay (1:46.05).
The Cavaliers will turn their focus to training over he next several weeks, as they prepare for the stretch run of the season and the season-ending Atlantic East Conference championships.
The Blue and White will get its next taste of competition on Saturday, Jan. 11m when it visits Widener University. The meet will begin at 1pm in Chester, PA.
