CLERMONT, FL – The Cavaliers split a pair of game son Wednesday, moving to 3-3 on the season. The Blue and White scored a thrilling 3-2 walk-off against Johnson & Wales before failing to overcome an early deficit in a 4-2 loss to Rose-Hulman.

Game 1: Cabrini 2, Johnson & Wales 2
The Wildcats took an early, plating an unearned run in the top of the first inning. The lead remained until the bottom of the fifth inning, when the Cavaliers took advantage of three walks and two wild pitches to score two runs.

Freshman Emily Wargo and sophomore Aysiah Cintron drove runs across the plate with a single and fielder's choice, respectively.

Johnson & Wales evened the score in the top of the sixth, making Cabrini pay for a defensive miscue to tie the game at 2-2.

The Cavaliers could not produce a run in the bottom of the frame, but a pair of errors in the top of the seventh gave the Wildcats a change to retake the lead. Cabrini committed to errors and walked a batter to load the bases with two outs, but freshman hurler Grace Stairiker shut the door on the rally.

Cabrini wasted little time putting the game away in the bottom of the seventh. Sophomore Casey Sheuren doubled to centerfield before sophomore Jess Redding drew a free pass.

Sophomore Olivia Young stepped to the plate and put the game on ice with a pinch hit RBI double to score Sheuren with game-winning run..

The Blue and White mustered five hits, including a pair of doubles, to overcome four errors Stairiker claimed the victory after allowing two runs on five hits.

Game 2: Rose-Hulman 4, Cabrini 2
The Fightin' Engineers put Cabrini in a hole in the first inning, as four consecutive base hits led to three runs.

The Cavaliers got one of the runs back in the second, as sophomore Amber Seamen and junior Alexandra Schell opened the frame with back to back doubles.
