CLERMONT, FL – The Cabrini softball team knocked ou 19 hits in it two games in Florida today. Unfortunately, 15 of them came in the second game, as the Blue and White suffered a 7-0 loss to MSOE in the opener, before rebounding for a 10-1 victory over Northern Vermont-Jefferson.
Game 1: MSOE 7, Cabrini 0
The Cavaliers threatened in the first inning, placing runners on first and third wih one out but could not bring a run home. The Raiders took advantage, plating four runs in the bottom of the first inning.
MSOE added another run in the second, while the Cavaliers did not record another base knock until the fourth inning.
The Raiders took advantage of two Cabrini errors in the fifth to extend its lead to 6-0, before sealing the victory with a solo run in the bottom of the sixth.

Grace Stairiker took the loss in the pitcher's circle, allowing five earned runs on nine hits in six innings.
Game 2: Cabrini 10, Northern Vermont-Johnson 1
After allowing a run in the top of the first inning, the Cavaliers found their offense and put the game away.
The Blue and White scored a pair of runs in the first, four in the second and tow each in the third and fourth frames.
After posting just four hits in the opener, Cabrini blasted 15 base knocks in the nightcap. All nine players who saw action recorded base hits.
Young went a perfect 4-4 with three runs scored, while sophomore

Allison Martin and sophomore
Casey Scheuren had two hits each. Martin and Seamen drove in two runs each, while freshman
Emily Wargo crossed the plate twice.
Scheuren tossed the complete game victory, scattering four hits.
The Cavaliers (4-4) will close their spring trip on Saturday, as they face the Czech National Team at 9am and Wartburg College (0-0) at 11:15am.
