IMMACULATA, PA – The Cavaliers used a 14-0 run to snap a 70-70 tie in the latter stages of the second half to score a 95-78 victory at Immaculata today.
With the win, the Cavaliers inched closer to securing a spot in the inaugural Atlantic East Conference men's basketball tournament.
At 6-17 overall and 4-6 in the league, the Blue and White sits 0.5 games ahead of Immaculata for the sixth and final seed and one game back of Marymount for fourth place.

Anthony Wright-Downing and freshman
Voshon Mack led the Cabrini attack, combining for 51 points on 21-31 shooting and 17 rebounds. Wright-Downing paired 26 points, seven boards, five assists and four steals, while Mack added 25 points and 10 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the season.

Ivan Robinson chipped in with 19 points and six assists, while sophomore
DJ Smith hit 4-6 from three point range for 13 points.
Neither team truly grabbed control of the action in an opening 20 minute frame that featured eight ties and seven lead changes. Cabrini led by as many as eight points, while the Mighty Macs built a five point cushion midway through the stanza.
Robinson drained a triple at the halftime buzzer to send the Cavaliers into the halftime break trailing 48-41.
Immaculata pushed its lead to a game-high seven points three minutes into the second half, but the Cavaliers would not let the home team pull away. Minutes later, a three point play by Mack and a Wright-Downing jumper evened the score at 66.
With 10:16 to play, a Mack lay-in again evened the score at 70 and sparked the game-defining run.
The Blue and White held the Mighty Macs scoreless over the next 5:42, while four Cavaliers combined to score 14 straight points, including seven on the fast break.
By the time Immaculata got back on the board, it was staring at 84-72 deficit with just 4:34 to play.
Cabrini offset a season-high 27 turnovers with a season-high .578 field goal percentage, while connecting on .476 from three point range and .733 from the charity stripe, both among the best performances of the season.
Defensively, the Cavaliers held Immaculata to just .387 shooting, including .299 in the second half, a a season low three made three pointers.
Senior Mike Piekarski led Immaculata (10-14, 4-7 Atlantic East) with 17 points, while classmate Morgan Bailey paired 14 points and 12 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will return to Nerney Field House on Wednesday, as they celebrate Senior Night with a visit from Neumann (11-12, 2-8 Atlantic East). The game wil mark the final home appearance for Robinson, Wright-Downing and classmates
